ABOUT THE STAMP
The souvenir sheet – consisting of four stamps – was designed to be a paper folding, in the form of a valve radio. Each stamp represents different aspects of the motif – the technology, the electronic notation, the aesthetics of the equipment and its operation. The radio miniset can be mounted using scissors, glue
(or even the gum of the stamp) and the perforation, constituting a metaphor for the practice of radio amateurism, and its tradition of assembling electronic equipment. The color palette refers to the old radio devices, using tones that refer to wood and metal. Special printing were used: spot varnish, embossing and intaglio ink. The artwork was created with mixed techniques of vectorial illustration.
